We want to take every opportunity to ensure our formulas are safe and well tolerated by all skins—especially sensitive types. Conventional preservatives are not “bad” and are perfectly functional and safe, but we’ve chosen to go the extra mile by utilizing probiotics in our products. Probiotics allow us to reduce reliance on preservatives that are more prone to cause irritation, plus we get to enjoy the many skin benefits probiotics offer.
Our probiotic preservatives are multi-functional actives accepted by ECOCERT as ingredients in certified organic cosmetics. In addition, they are on the Whole Foods acceptable premium preservative list.
INCI: Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate
Derived from radishes fermented with Leuconostoc kimchii; a lactic acid bacteria that has traditionally been used to make kimchi. Its antimicrobial benefits not only keep the products healthy and safe, but may also benefit acne prone skin by balancing skin’s microflora.
INCI: Lactobacillus (and) Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract
Developed by fermenting Coconut fruit with Lactobacillus, it prevents the growth of fungus, especially yeast and mold. It’s non-irritating, effective and multifunctional; providing moisturising and conditioning benefits to boost skin health.
